MANILA, Philippines — Tumulak na kahapon ang Philippine Inter-Agency Humanitarian Contingent (PHIAC) upang tumulong sa search, rescue at retrieval operations sa naganap na magnitude 7.7 na lindol sa Myanmar.
Sa pangunguna ng Office of Civil Defense, naipadala ng Pilipinas ang kinatawan ng DOH-Philippine Emergency Medical Assistance Team (PEMAT) at ang Urban Search and Rescue mula sa Armed Forces of the Philippines, Bureau of Fire Protection, Metro Manila Development Authority at Office of the Civil Defense.
Kinabibilangan ng mga doktor, nurse, medical technologist, pharmacist, midwife, nursing attendant, administrative, logistics, at technical staff ang mga kinatawan ng DOH para sa misyon sa Myanmar.
Mamamalagi sila sa Myanmar sa loob ng 18 araw para magbigay ng acute care, life support, trauma management, pharmaceutical provisions, isolation facilities para sa mga nangangailangan at maari ring magproseso ng referral para sa mas mataas na antas na gamutan.
