MANILA, Philippines — Fake news umano ang iniulat ng China Southern Theatre na nagsagawa ng pagpapatrulya ang kanilang mga barko at militia vessels sa Scarborough Shoal.
Ayon kay Rear Admiral Roy Vincent Trinidad, spokesman ng Philippine Navy sa West Philippine Sea (WPS), na base sa kanilang monitoring ay dalawang barko ng China Coast Guard (CCG) at anim na maritime militia vessels, apat na bangkang pangisda mula sa Vietnam at tatlo pa mula sa Taiwan ang namomonitor na umaaligid sa Scarborough Shoal.
“No activity of PLA-N (People’s Liberation Army -Navy) was monitored. News like these are all part of information shaping operations by the China Communist Party to address any internal dissent or shape the international discourse to their favor,” saad ng opisyal.
Ang Scarborough Shoal ay nasasaklaw ng 200 miles ng Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ) ng Pilipinas at nasa 124 nautical miles mula sa Bajo de Masinloc sa Zambales.
“The Philippine Navy and the AFP will continue to secure and protect our maritime domain as we remain committed to regional peace and stability,” anang Navy officer.
