MANILA, Philippines — Kinumpirma ng Department of Justice na lumabas na muli ng bansa si dating Police Col. Royina Garma noong Linggo ng gabi patungong Malaysia para makipagkita sa mga opisyal ng International Criminal Court (ICC) kaugnay sa pagtestigo niya laban kay dating pangulong Rodrigo Duterte.
Sa media briefing nitong Lunes, sinabi ni Justice Secretary Jesus Crispin Remulla na payag si Garma na maging testigo laban kay Duterte na kasalukuyang nakapiit sa The Hague dahil sa kinakaharap na kasong crimes against humanity sa ICC.
“I think that she is the highest ranking police officer that can be asked to give a narrative about the drug war, the reward system and other parts of her testimony that she already gave in the Quad Comm,” ani Remulla.
Noong Biyernes nang bumalik sa Pilipinas si Garma mula US.
Siya ay nahaharap sa mga reklamong murder at frustrated murder na inihain ng National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) at ng Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) dahil sa umano’y pagpatay kay PCSO board secretary Wesley Barayuga noong Hulyo 2020.
