MANILA, Philippines — Pinalawig pa ni Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr. ang prangkisa ng power distributor na Manila Electric Company (Meralco) ng 25 taon.
“Signed by the President, not lapsed into law,” pagkumpirma ni Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin.
Pinasalamatan naman ni Meralco Chairman at CEO Manny V. Pangilinan ang suporta ng Pangulo.
“This development fortifies our commitment to deliver stable, reliable, and affordable electricity to millions of Filipinos across our franchise area,” ayon pa kay Pangilinan.
Pinasalamatan din ni Pangilinan ang Senado at ang Kamara para sa pagsasabatas ng mahalagang panukalang ito.
“The renewal reflects a shared effort to ensure that Meralco continues to meet the evolving needs of consumers through innovation, operational excellence, and dependable service,” pahayag pa ni Pangilinan.
