MANILA, Philippines — May tiwala at kumpiyansa pa rin si Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr. kay Defense Secretary Gilbert “Gibo” Teodoro.
Ito ang sinabi ni Palace Press Officer Atty. Claire Castro matapos ang ulat na mayroong Maltese passport si Teodoro.
“The President gives the confidence to Secretary Gibo, Secretary Gibo still enjoys the trust and confidence of the President,” pahayag pa ni Castro.
Nauna nang sinabi ni DND spokesperson Assistant Secretary Arsenio Andolong na ang Maltese passport ni Teodoro ay isinuko na bago pa siya maghain ng kandidatura noong 2021 para sa 2022 elections at alam din ito ng Bureau of Immigration at ng Commission on Elections.
Hindi naman masagot ni Castro kung ano ang motibo sa pagkalat ng nasabing isyu.
“Ang makakasagot po ng motibo na yan ay tanging si Secretary Gibo Teodoro,” pahayag pa ni Castro.
