MANILA, Philippines — Hindi umano hustisya, kundi isang pang-aapi at pag-uusig ang ginawang pag-aresto ng mga awtoridad kay dating Pang. Rodrigo Duterte.
“Today, our own government has surrendered a Filipino citizen—even a former President at that —to foreign powers. This is a blatant affront to our sovereignty and an insult to every Filipino who believes in our nation’s independence,” pahayag kagabi ni VP Sara.
“Worse, former President Rodrigo Roa Duterte is being denied his fundamental rights. Since he was taken this morning, he has not been brought before any competent judicial authority to assert his rights and to allow him to avail of reliefs provided by law.”
Ayon sa bise presidente, habang ginagawa niya ang kanyang mensahe ay puwersahan nang dinadala ang kanyang ama sa The Hague upang doon litisin.
Giit ni VP Sara, “As I write this, he is being forcibly taken to The Hague tonight. This is not justice—this is oppression and persecution.”
Binigyang-diin pa niya na ang aksiyong ito ay nagpapakita sa buong mundo ng kahandaan ng pamahalaan na abandonahin ang sariling mamamayan at traydurin ang soberenya at pambansang dangal.
“God save the Philippines,” pagtatapos ni VP Sara.
