MANILA, Philippines — May 17 teams tampok ang apat na foreign teams ang masisilayan sa aksyon sa Tour of Luzon “The Great Revival” edition na hahataw sa Abril 24 sa Paoay, Ilocos Norte.
Ang Tour of Luzon na iprinesenta ng Metro Pacific Tollways Corporation (MPTC), DuckWorld PH at Cignal TV ay magtatampok ng walong stages na lilibot sa pitong Northern at Central Luzon provinces na magtatapos sa Camp John Hay sa Baguio City.
“The legendary Tour of Luzon is back,” ani Patrick Gregorio na president ng DuckWorld PH.
Nakipag-ugnayan ang DuckWorld PH kay MPTC Chief Regulatory Officer Arrey Perez para sa pagbabalik ng Tour of Luzon na huling naitaguyod noon pang 2019 sa pamamagitan ng international Le Tour de Filipinas.
“The excitement has bordered from excitement to the extreme for once again, we’ll see the best of Philippine road cycling reliving the historic summer sports tradition,” ani Perez.
Paglalabanan ang P1 milyon premyo kasama ang Tour of Luzon perpetual trophy para sa team champion.
Ang walong stages ay aabot sa 1,074.90 kilometro simula sa 190.70-km Paoay-Paoay (via Pagudpud) Stage 1 sa April 24, 68.39-km Paoay-Vigan team time trial Stage 2 sa April 25, 130.33-km Vigan-San Juan (La Union) Stage 3 sa April 26, 162.97-km Agoo-Clark Stage 4, 166.65 Clark-Clark (via New Clark City at Tarlac) Stage 5, 168.19 Clark-Lingayen Stage 6 at 15.14-km individual time trial Labrador-Lingayen Stage 7 sa Abril 30.
Sa May 1, hahataw ang mga cyclists sa 172.53 kms mula Lingayen hanggang sa Camp John Hay.
