MANILA, Philippines — Bukod sa PLDT Home Fibr ay sa Petro Gazz lamang natalo ang nagdedepensang Creamline sa 2024-25 Premier Volleyball League (PVL) All-Filipino Conference.
Ang Cool Smashers at Gazz Angels ang magtutuos sa best-of-three championship series na hahataw sa Martes.
Aminado si Alyssa Valdez ng Creamline na mabigat na kalaban ang Petro Gazz lalo na at nasa kondisyon sina Fil-Am Brooke Van Sickle, Myla Pablo, Jonah Sabete at Fil-Am middle blocker MJ Phillips.
“This conference, I think kumpletung-kumpleto ang Petro Gazz — hindi lang sa wings. Sabete is there, MJ Phillips is there, kumpleto sila as a team and ang lalim din ng bench nila and healthy din sila,” wika ng 31-anyos na si Valdez.
Kinumpleto ng Gazz Angels ang 3-0 sweep sa single-round semifinals matapos talunin ang Cool Smashers, Choco Mucho Flying Titans at Akari Chargers.
Tinapos ng Creamline ang semis tangan ang 2-1 record para muling makatapat ang Petro Gazz sa PVL Finals sapul nang ungusan nila ito sa 2023 1st All-Filipino Conference.
“I already kind of been mentally preparing for the rematch and I know for a fact if we do end up rematching them, they’re going to come out at 120 percent, so we’ve got to be ready,” sabi ni Van Sickle.
Swak ang Cool Smashers sa pang-pitong sunod na finals appearance target ang ‘five-peat’ at ika-11 korona sa kabuuan.
Ito naman ang ikaanim na finals stint ng Gazz Angels asam ang ikatlong titulo matapos magreyna sa 2019 at 2022 Reinforced Conference.
Samantala, pag-aagawan ng Chargers at Flying Titans ang bronze medal.
Nagtapos ang Akari sa 1-2 marka kumpara sa 0-3 baraha ng Choco Mucho.
