AVC House sa Bangkok inilunsad

MANILA, Philippines — Inilunsad kahapon ang Asian Volleyball (AVC) House sa Bangkok, Thailand, dalawang araw bago matapos ang kanilang hosting sa FIVB Women’s World Championship kasunod ang pamamahala ng Pilipinas sa men’s global tournament sa susunod na linggo.

“This is the home of Asia volleyball now and it easy for us to work around here with the success of volleyball in Southeast Asia,” ani AVC president Ramon “Tats” Suzara, pangulo rin ng Philippine National Volleyball Federation (PNVF), sa inauguration ceremony tna dinaluhan ng mga top officials ng world volleyball.

Dumalo rin sina Philippine Sports Commission chairman Patrick “Pato” Gregorio, FIVB president Fabio Azevedo, ang papalit sa kanyang si Ari Graza at si incoming AVC chief Rita Subowo.

“All volleyball stakeholders are welcome especially in Asia, volleyball fans ,too, universities and club teams, and of course we are open to many sports stakeholders,” dagdag ni Suzara na sinamahan nina PNVF Secretary-General Donaldo Caringal at Mayor Eric Singson na gustong maging host ng 2026 AVC Women’s Cup sa Candon City.

Pinamunuan nina Thailand Volleyball Association president Somporn Chaibangyang at National Olympic Committee of Thailand secretary-general Thana Chaiprasit ang paglulunsad sa AVC House — isang two-storey mansion ma matatagpuan sa 2,800-square meter lot sa Khet Saphan Sung, isa sa 50 distrito ng Bangkok.

“I’m extremely happy and proud of our volleyball leadership in Asia led by president Ramon Suzara, the volleyball Asia house is magnificent and amazing,” wika ni Azevedo. “What a great place to be the hub of volleyball in Asia and we are moving ‘together as one’ as what’ president Suzara said.”

Pamamahalaan ng Pilipinas ang 32-nation men’s world championship, kung saan tampok ang pagsagupa ng mga Pinoy spikers sa Tunisia sa Pool A sa alas-4:30 ng hapon sa Setyembre 12 sa SM Mall of Asia Arena.
