Aba! Nakaka-bagets! Ha-ha-ha! Kasi parang you imagine going back to your high school years, ‘di ba? You meet this dashing young man, ‘Wow! Ang gwapo naman nito.’ It brings you back to your youth,” nakangiting bungad sa amin ni Charo sa Fast Talk with Boy Abunda.
“Love transcends everything. There are no labels, no boundaries. Age is just a number. When it comes to feelings, you just go with the flow. And when you go with the flow, it brings you to happiness, authenticity. It’s a very special kind of a relationship,” giit ng beteranang aktres.
“Sabi ko nga kay Dong in some of our conversations, it was also a risk. But maybe more of a risk for you (Dingdong) ha-ha-ha! I’m used to taking risks. I really didn’t think that it will push through. We’re not a love team. We’re two professionals who got together. And we breathe life to this beautiful narrative. I am proud to say that we were able to create a love team in Betty and Ryan,” kwento ni Charo.
“You know, looking back, it didn’t matter to me. I was in love. The opinion of the rest of the world didn’t matter. I felt very secure with his love and that’s the only thing that matter,” makahulugang pahayag ng beteranang aktres.
“Very challenged, the industry is very challenged with the shift to digital platform, even the theatrical screens. The malls now are cutting back on the number of theaters. Admission prices have gone up. We’re one of the most heavily tasked industry. I think the entertainment industry, I hope the government will see the entertainment industry as a real industry.
“We are not here just to entertain people. We are here to make a living, and to make a statement for the great Filipino artists. And I think we deserve that recognition from the government.
“Napakahirap gumawa ng pelikula ngayon. Producers are so discouraged sometimes disenchanted with how things are. We just have to keep going. I think collaboration is key now. Kailangang manatiling buhay eh, because telling stories is part of the human experience. Mawala nang lahat, you want to hear stories. And that’s how you connect with people,” pagbabahagi ng aktres. — Reports from JCC
