Filipino jiu-jitsu artists nagdomina sa SJJIF Japan tourney

MANILA, Philippines — Humakot ang DEFTAC-Six Blades Jiu-Jitsu Kids Team ng 10 gold, 10 silver at 13 bronze medals para tanghaling overall champion ng Sports Jiu-Jitsu International Federation (SJJIF) World Jiu Jitsu Championship 2025 at No-Gi Championship sa Chiba, Japan.

Bumandera sa dominasyon ng mga Filipino jiu-jitsu artists si Callum Roberts na kumolekta ng tatlong gintong medalya sa tatlong kategorya.

Tinalo ni Roberts si Nakamura Goki ng Infight Japan via straight arm lock sa Gi Ultra Heavyweight Male Blue (Adults 18) class at isinunod si Nakahara Gustavo ng Carlos Toyota BJJ via back take Colla Choke sa Gi Open Weight Male Blue (Adults).

Dinaig din ng miyembro ng Philippine team at isang Gi at Nogi World Champion at Absolute Champion si Pchelnikov Nikita ng ZR Team Blagoveshcensk sa No-Gi Ultra Heavyweight Male Blue (Adults 18) via vicious Arm Triangle.

“With over 300 teams and 5,000 entries participating from all corners of the globe, our kids team came out on top, showcasing the incredible talent and hard work of our athletes,” ani Alvin Aguilar ng DEFTAC sa kanyang facebook post.

Wagi naman ng dalawang gold si Joson Tessa, habang nagdagdag ng isa si Jeon Dela Cruz para ipakita ang husay ng mga Pinoy sa nasabing torneo.

Binigo ni Tessa si Aina Fugisawa ng Evox BJJ sa Gi Female Gray Kid 5 Light Feather at dinaig si Sawka Lilly ng Hi Grade Jiujitsu sa Nogi Female Gray Kid 5 Light Feather.

Sinapawan ni De La Cruz si Tomura Eishin ng Carpe Diem Yokohoma sa Gi Male Gray Kid 3 Rooster.

Inungusan ng DEFTAC-Six Blades Jiu-jitsu Kids Team para sa overall crown ang Impacto BJJ na may 10 golds, limang silvers at walong bronze medals kasunod ang Carlos Toyota BJJ (6-6-8 gold-silver-bronze tally).
