Sabay nagtapos ng college ang mag-inang Marjorie Barretto and Leon Barretto.
Naunang nag-post si Marjorie ng kanyang graduation photos at may caption na “At 51 years old, I finally wore this cap and gown.
“For years, finishing college was a dream tucked away — paused for show business, raising children, public service, business, and building a life. But God never forgot. In His perfect time, He gave me the courage to return, the strength to push through, and the joy of crossing this finish line.
“The sweetest part? My children were there to witness it — taking my photos and videos, handing me flowers and gifts. A moment so surreal, a full circle moment.
“I want to thank Philippine Women’s University @mypwu_official for opening your doors and making this chapter possible. I also want to thank my dear friend @iloveruffag for starting this journey for so many of us — she graduated first, lovingly encouraged me to go back to college, and always reminded me that I could do it.
“To my loved ones who inspired me, pushed me, and talked me out of my panic and anxieties — thank you from the bottom of my heart.
“And to those my age who still carry dreams in their hearts: it’s never too late, and you are never too old, to realize the dreams God placed in you.”
Dagsa naman ang nag-congratulate sa ina ni Julia Barretto at napabilib sila na sa kabila ng pagiging abala nito sa pagiging ina at negosyante, nagawa nitong tapusin ang kanyang pag-aaral.
Anyway, post naman ni Leon: “Not a lot of people can say they graduated college the same year as their mom. It’s really never too late – congratulations, mom! Truly an inspiration to my siblings and me #2025graduates.”
Nagtapos si Marjorie ng Bachelor’s degree sa Communication Arts mula sa Philippine Women’s University (PWU) sa Parañaque City.
Naka-maroon toga, white hood, at black graduation cap ang dating actress nang tanggapin niya ang kanyang diploma habang si Leon ay naka-black toga at cap na nagtapos ng Marketing degree sa University of Asia and the Pacific.
