Nakakabilib ang professionalism ni Regine Velasquez.
The show must go on para sa Asia’s Songbird na sa kabila ng kanyang karamdaman ay itinuloy niya ang Reset concert — 3rd night nitong (Feb. 21) sa Samsung Performing Arts.
At ginawa na lang niyang katatawanan ang sarili base sa ipinost ng isang fans na andun sa kanyang concert.
“Nakakaloka ‘yung sinasabi nila na aging is, you know, is a blessing, it is. But rayuma is not a blessing! But it’s very real,” komento niya.
Ito ay may koneksyon sa kanyang inireklamong pananakit ng likod.
“I was doing a run through I went very early and was waiting in the dressing room. I was pretty much just sitting down almost the whole time. Finally run through na again I was sitting down while I sing some of the songs in the middle of one song I decided to stand up kasi medyo sumakit na yung likod ko dahandahan pa ko tapos bigla na lang extreme pain that I was having a hard time standing up. Like I can’t barely walk pero hindi ko na lang pinapahalata but I think everyone could see I’m in pain so I took some meds waley so I finished lang the run and went home. Gosh the car ride was excruciating got home took meds again and hot compress. Was not able to sleep properly coz it was just too painful hay. Took some meds again parang ngayon palang tumalab im ok now it’s still painful but not as painful buti na lang malayu sa lalamunan ???? please pray for me kasi normally when I’m standing with hills on that’s when my back would hurt. But yah I’ll see you tonight lakas makamatanda!!!!!!!!???? #oldpeopleproblem,” buong tweet ni Regine.
Two weekends ang Reset ni Regine, Feb. 14, 15, 21 & 22.
Kaya naman binati siya ng mister na si Ogie Alcasid : “Take a bow my love. 4 nights of unparalleled music and passion. Congrats @cacaimitra and @paolovalenciano for the vision and the artistry of putting together all the beautiful elements together for this series. @raulmitra for being the anchor of it all for the beautiful music arrangements. Anyway, jampacked ang apat na gabing Reset ni Regine sa Samsung Performing Arts na ang isa sa mga naging guest ay si Gary Valenciano kung saan nga nakailang iyak si Regine dahil ilang beses nagkaroon ng standing ovation ang audience tuwing kakantahin niya ang kanyang original recorded songs.
Dahil marami pa ang hindi nakapanood, may clamor na magkaroon ng repeat ang Reset.
Nauna nang nabanggit ni Regine na sa totoong buhay ay wala siyang gustong i-reset.
“In the long run, we’ll realize that it’s not such a good idea that I don’t want to change because we make mistakes because we were supposed to learn from those mistakes. Ngayon, if you keep making the same mistake, then that’s a whole different story, ‘no? But I think it’s okay lang tayong magkamali because we’re supposed to learn. How do we know, right? Paano natin malalaman kung happy tayo o ‘di pa tayo nakaka-experience kung paano maging malungkot? So I wouldn’t change anything because all those experiences make me who I am,” katuwiran niya sa tanong namin para ikonek sa title ng kanyang concert.
Fifty-four years old lang si Regine at talagang ini-encourage siya ng mister na mag-walking para mas lumakas ang stamina.
