Ahh kumpirmado na abswelto na si Bacolod City Representative Albee Benitez kasunod ng pagbasura sa kasong isinampa ng kanyang dating asawa.
Sa isang resolusyon ng Makati City Prosecutor’s Office na inilabas noong Hunyo 23, 2025, ang reklamo ng dating misis ng pulitiko/movie and TV producer na si Dominique “Nikki’ A. Lopez laban kay Alfredo “Albee” Bantug Benitez sa paglabag sa Section 5(e) (2) at (1) ng Republic Act 9262 na kilala rin bilang Violence Against Women and their Children Act of 2004, ay ibinasura na dahil sa kawalan daw ng malakas na ebidensya.
“On a final note, while this office commiserates with whatever complainant has gone through, the office has to take consideration the lack of evidence to support her case of violation of RA 9262. Under the provision of D.C. No. 15, the evidence required exacts more than probable cause i.e prima facie evidence with reasonable certainty of conviction of the accused when the case is tried in court,” ayon sa nabasa kong resolution.
Napansin din ng mga Prosecutor na karamihan sa mga ebidensyang ipinakita ng dating misis ng pulitiko/producer ay pawang sabi-sabi at batay sa mga newspaper, mga online material at walang probative value.
“Wherefore, it is respectfully recommended that the complaint for RA No. 9262 otherwise known as Violation Against Women and their Children against respondents Alfredo “Albee” Bantug Benitez be dismissed for insuffiency of evidence,” nakasaad pa sa resolution signed by Assistant City Prosecutor Mikhail Maverick P. Tumacder and approved by Senior Assistant City Prosecutor Melvin A. Matti.
Sa isang press statement ay sinabi naman ni Cong. Benitez na ang pagkakabasura na ito ay isang kumpirmasyon na ang hustisya sa ating bansa ay buhay pa talaga at ang lahat ay maaaring humingi ng tulong anumang oras at pagkakataon.
Hinihiling ngayon ni Cong. Benitez na ipahinga na ang kabanatang ito. At umapela sa lahat, lalo na sa mga miyembro ng media at sa publiko na bigyan sila ng privacy habang lahat sila ay nagmo-move on sa mga nangyayari.
Sa nabasurang petisyon ay sinabi rin daw ni Cong. Albee na may dalawa rin siyang anak sa ibang babae.
“It was only when I received the Petition for Declaration of Nullity of Marriage filed by Respondent and after reading the admission of Respondent of having fathered two (2) illegitimate children.
“I felt utterly betrayed by the Respondent and was devastated beyond compare after finally discovering and confirming the truth in Respondent’s lies,” ayon sa dating misis.
Ayon sa source, resulta na lang ng annulment ni Cong. Albee at ng dating misis nito ang hinihintay at good to go na nga ba siya na magkaroon ng bagong misis o girlfriend?
