Dalawang milestones ang na-reach ng Viva artist na si Julia Barretto ngayong September. Una ay ang paglo-launch niya ng sariling beauty brand, ang Bee Bee under Viva Beauty. Matapos noon ay hinirang naman siyang Intellectual Property (IP) o yamang-isip ambassador ng Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines (IPOPHL).
Sa pamamagitan ng isang short video na ibinahagi sa Facebook, inanunsyo ng IPOPHL ang pagkakahirang nila sa aktres—na isa ring content creator on food, culture, and tourism for the Philippines—bilang IP ambassador at nataon naman na ngayong buwan din ipinagdiriwang ang Philippine Creative Industries Month (PCIM).
Sa video, sino-showcase si Julia na namamahagi ng IPOPHL’s programs na humihikayat sa publiko patungkol sa IP “awareness, protection, and economic growth.” Kabilang sa mga programa nito ang mga sumusunod: Youth Intellectual Property Incentive Program, the Inventor Assistance Program, the Juana Patent and Juana Design Protection Incentive Program, at ang Green Technology Incentive Program.
Sa mga unfamiliar, ang IPOPHL ang lead agency ng bansa na naatasang mag-implement ng state policies on Intellectual Property. It was created by Republic Act No. 8293 or the Intellectual Property Code of the Philippines (IP Code), na napirmahan bilang batas noong June 6, 1997 at nag-take effect noong Jan. 1, 1998.
So far, dalawang informercial video na featuring Julia ang naka-upload sa IPOPHL Facebook page and for sure ay marami pang kasunod.
